Some locations — including Chicago parks, the Riverwalk, and other public venues — require a photo permit and/or proof of insurance before shooting. We handle the coordination, but please book at least 2 weeks in advance for any location that may require permits so we have time to secure everything before your big moment. Common Questions
How do I keep it a surprise?
We coordinate entirely with you — never with your partner. We'll agree on a cover story for why you're at the location, handle our own positioning, and stay completely hidden until the moment happens.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend at least 2–3 weeks out to allow time for planning, location scouting, and logistics. For popular dates (Valentine's Day, holidays, anniversaries) book earlier.
What if the weather doesn't cooperate?
We'll reschedule at no charge. Weather is unpredictable — we'd rather wait for a beautiful day than rush a once-in-a-lifetime moment.
Can we do couple portraits after?
Absolutely — and we strongly recommend it. The Story and Full Experience packages include post-proposal portrait time so you have beautiful images of both the moment and the celebration after.
Do you help with location selection?
Yes. Tell us a little about your partner — what they love, what's meaningful to your relationship — and we'll suggest locations that fit the mood and photograph beautifully.
Can I add a video?
Yes — GoPro video capture is included in The Full Experience package or can be added to any package. Ask us about video options when you reach out.
