Your maternity session is one of the most meaningful portraits you'll ever take. The right outfit helps you feel confident and ensures the focus stays on you, your bump, and the connection you have with your growing family. ## Keep It Simple Solid, rich colors photograph beautifully. Soft neutrals — cream, blush, sage, dusty blue — are timeless and won't distract from your face. Avoid busy patterns, large logos, or anything with lots of text. ## What to Bring We recommend bringing 2–3 outfit options to your session. A flowing gown, a fitted wrap dress, and a casual option gives you variety. Our studio has a wardrobe you're welcome to borrow from as well. ## Comfort Matters If you're not comfortable, it shows in the photos. Choose outfits you can breathe in, sit in, and move in. Stretchy fabrics and empire waists are your friends. ## A Note on Shoes Your shoes matter more than you think — they affect how tall and confident you stand. Heels are beautiful if you're comfortable in them. Barefoot works too, especially for indoor studio sessions. Questions? We send every client a detailed prep guide when they book.
